Ryan Newman and NASCAR legend Bobby Allison need your support to win a new race at Talladega - the race to protect more than 1,100 acres in the Talladega National Forest.

Nestled in the Talladega National Forest, just a short drive from the Talladega Superspeedway, the eight-mile crest of Rebecca Mountain has been a high conservation priority for the US Forest Service. These spectacular forests are home to deer, turkey, gopher tortoise, flattened musk turtles and the rare red-cockaded woodpecker. The 1,100-acre property is also one of the largest privately-owned tracts in the national forest and is completely surrounded by public land.
Newman, driver of the #39 Stewart-Haas Racing Army Chevrolet, and Bobby Allison, a legend in NASCAR, have joined together to complete the second lap of the Racing for Wildlife program: the protection of the Rebecca Mountain ridge.
With the help of NASCAR fans, we're racing to protect Rebecca Mountain and complete the Talladega National Forest. In addition, this Racing For Wildlife project will allow the U.S. Forest Service to complete a section of the Pinhoti Trail, connecting Rebecca Mountain to the popular Appalachian National Scenic Trail in Georgia. Eventually the public will be able to enjoy these lands for recreational activities, including hiking and camping.
Donate now and help Ryan Newman and Bobby Allison save this major ridge in the Appalachian Mountains. To date, just over $1 million has been secured. Now we’re aiming to raise the remaining $550,000.
Every dollar counts! For each dollar you contribute we will match it with donations from our sponsors. Please join the race to protect this final piece of Talladega National Forest and be a part of Talladega history!
