The seventh annual Ryan Newman Fan Club Appreciation Day will take place at Mill Lake Youth Camp near Chelsea, Michigan. Ryan and Krissie are extending an invitation to each 2008 fan club member to attend this year’s fan club day. They want to provide fans with the opportunity to experience this peaceful and beautiful place and encourage you to enjoy the outdoors. This year’s fan club day will include many activities such as canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking and outdoor games. All equipment needed for these activities will be provided.
Mill Lake Youth Camp is the first conservation project for Ryan and Racing for Wildlife. It is located about 30 miles north of Michigan International Speedway in the 20,000-acre Waterloo Recreation Area. The historic camp was built by the Works Progress Administration in the 1930s, but was in need of much repair. Ryan teamed up with Racing for Wildlife to restore the camp and is scheduled to re-open in the summer of 2009.
